Amazing place for tasting upscale Peruvian food, and also reasonably priced for such quality! I absolutely loved the duck!

Yaku Restaurant – A Must-Visit in Hamburg This was, without a doubt, the best dining experience I’ve had in Hamburg—and in a long time. And this was not a one time thing, as we went 4 times and it was always a delight. The meal at Yaku Restaurant is a true culinary experience, with standout dishes, exceptional textures, and a warm atmosphere. Favorites: The main dish , PIL PIL was an incredible combination of grilled fish, a savory soup with calamari and shrimp, and perfectly cooked rice. Soup: Rich and savory, it paired beautifully with the rice, creating a balanced and delightful combination. - Fish: Grilled to perfection, with tender and flavorful textures that elevated the dish. - Seafood: The shrimp and calamari were fresh, with an amazing texture that melted in the mouth. - Green spice: Added an exciting layer of flavor, making each bite even more interesting. - A unique addition was a small “tube” of cream, which introduced an entirely new flavor when mixed into the soup—an unexpected twist that added depth and creativity to the dish. The dessert The chocolate crust was a bit dense and difficult to break, but the dulce de leche was perfectly portioned and delightful. The cake, soaked in Pisco, brought a sophisticated touch that balanced sweetness beautifully. Other Dishes: In addition to our favorites, we also enjoyed ceviche and several appetizers, all of which were extremely flavorful and absolutely worth trying. As a couple from South America, we found the dishes to be authentic and deeply rooted in traditional flavors, evoking a sense of home with every bite. Service and Atmosphere: The staff at Yaku Restaurant are incredibly friendly, creating a welcoming and cheerful atmosphere. Special mention to: Dilon, who was exceptionally cheerful and guided us through the menu with spot-on recommendations. Alejandra, the talented head chef, who personally introduced dishes tailored to our tastes, elevating the dining experience to something truly special. Value: The combination of high-quality ingredients, creative presentation, and impeccable service makes Yaku Restaurant an outstanding value for the price. Getting there Yaku Restaurant is conveniently located in Hamburg. The best way to get there is by public transportation or a short walk from the HallerstraBe Station. Tips for a better visit Don’t skip the seafood dishes – they’re the highlight of the menu! Try the ceviche and appetizers—they’re just as fantastic as the main dishes. Ask the staff for recommendations, especially from Dilon, to enhance your experience. Arrive early or make a reservation to secure your spot during busy hours. Closing note Review made by Pedro and Fiorella. This is not a sponsored review. We hope you enjoy the experience as much as we did! We will absolutely eat here again.

I really love Yaku, a place where Peru and Mexico meet in the kitchen! The prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. Whenever we celebrate something, this is one of our go-to spots. Ceviche is always my favorite, but the starters are also excellent, and we like to try different dishes each time. Their meat dishes are delicious too. Highly recommended for special nights or simply for a little food happiness.

Choosing Yaku for a warm afternoon dinner was definitely a good choice. We ordered Ceviche as a starter and tasted the foamy and citric Pisco Sour, both worth it. Then I got Puebla Fresa, my first time trying duck and it was such a good way, very nice texture and it had an unexpected sweetness by the sauce and tortillas. Whereas my girlfriend had an octopus which was so good. We finished the food with a dessert "Tocino del cielo", it was a very sweet flan, maybe a bit too thick but reminded me of dulce de leche bt milky flavour. The staff was super friendly and nice. There was salsa music in the background in a perfect volume, being able to both, talk and enjoy the music. Although we were sitting outside next to the sidewlk, due to the location of the restaurant, it felt pretty quiet and comfortable. It's my favorite restaurant in the city so far and I'm very looking forward to visiting it again!

Absolutely great experience. Elevated peruvian and mexican food, giving it a touch of sophistication. I went there with 7 more friends for a birthday and ordered most of the menu (including appetizers), we all were amazed by the taste and presentation of the dishes. I personally got blown out with the mole, absolutely delicious, silky and perfectly balanced. 1000% recommended

Excellent! What a pleasant surprise! Peruvian and Mexican dishes, refined. Excellent quality food, and delicious. Loved the duck in mole sauce….a unique and delicious combination. The ceviche came with a delightfully spicy surprise. (FINALLY! A place that understands what “heat” means. Yay!) The flan was so pretty and my new favourite. Drinks were also delicious and unique. Service was personal and pleasant. Restaurant was small and cozy. Prices were reasonable. I appreciated this gem of a restaurant. I will be back!
